ASYLUM
You, our dear guest of mortal coil – ASYLUM SEEKERS - have the rare opportunity of walking through the veil of death into a spiritual prison, where souls are brought in for sentencing within its metaphysical walls.
Time served in the Asylum depends on how the person lived in life – good or bad, true or disingenuous - and the parameters of “rehabilitation” are set by the two orders who run our facility:
THE AUTHORITY
All souls are innocent until proven guilty. The Authority is the light in the darkness. Their goal is to bring out the best in you mortals, bring you closer to paradise. They are the Angels who serve in the middle place we call the Asylum, using the souls rehabilitating within our walls to maintain a balance for good.
THE MALIFECUM
Careful where you tread as you explore this place, for there are demons among us. The Malifecum are composed of agents of the pit. A pit they would gladly drag as many of the souls who attempt retribution here down into. Ruled by lies and deceit, they are always looking to bypass the ancient treaties developed by both sides –- the question of all out war, consequently, is always close at hand.
