An angel. But she doesn’t limit herself to such terms. In humanity’s short span, she has fallen in love with your mortal passion and apparent – yet beautiful – flaws. She sees the potential in every soul that enters here – wants for their light. Maggie can relate to imperfection. She was assigned to the Asylum after falling from heaven’s grace by giving her heart, foolishly to an extremely charismatic agent of the malifecum.

JUDE

A Demon, and proud of that fact. Jude sees humanity as cattle. A quota he has to fill to inevitably find his way home – back down into the pit. He allowed himself to feel love, as only a demon can, and now – like Maggie – is forced to work with insufferable mortal souls here in the asylum. Make no mistake, the love he once felt for Maggie grew cold centuries ago. Darkness is what lies behind his bright eyes.

HANNAH DONOVAN

When a woman loses the one thing worth living for, it gives her a fatalistic view of the mortal world. Donovan had spent three years mourning – with the help of large quantities of booze and pills – the loss of her husband, Jamie. That mourning period ended with Donovan taking her life. Entering the asylum, Donovan was brought before Maggie and given an ultimatum: agree to serve the Authority, or be handed over to the Malifecum. Feeling unworthy of redemption, Donovan turned our Angel down, yet has now reconsidered after Maggie offered Donovan the chance to reconnect with the husband she lost. However, nothing comes without a price...

Maggie charged Donovan to be the angel’s bounty hunter – knowing that the first wave in a war between light and dark was on the rise. Donovan was imbued with abilities beyond those she was capable of in life. She became a warrior and given the ability to call up souls from the Asylum to aid her at times of need.

MADE INTO a spiritual warrior, Hannah Donovan has been given her weapons...

TYLER

Donovan’s muscle. Tyler was a world champion strongman who had a propensity towards accumulating gambling debts. To pay off those he owed, he became an arsonist for hire. After torching a building and the family within (unknown to him), a tortured Tyler turned himself in to the police and agreed to help them bring to justice the criminal element he was working for.

Unfortunately, the arm of the organization Tyler was involved with stretched far and wide and Tyler was killed in prison – fittingly burned to death.

​

Wearing his burn-scars, he handles himself with both a cold determination, and biting sarcasm.

MELINA

Once a very accomplished nurse during WW2, who hid her trans nature out of fear but was exposed and almost beaten to death by her husband. She ended up killing him out of self defense and was sentenced to death for it. Upon death – and sent to the Asylum - she was given the opportunity for redemption, by Maggie, to be a true beacon of light and acceptance – helping those spirits in the Asylum who seem completely lost. Melina has spent the most time of Donovan’s floaters in the spiritual prison and becomes invaluable to Donovan as not only a resourceful pair of healing hands, but a faithful conscience and a bright heart in the darkness of the Asylum.

Her team assembled, Hannah Danovan will be tasked with the impossible, a task that could either prevent a devestating war between the forces of light and those from the pit, or see the coming of Armageddon. Continue to seek the Asylum, our dear mortals, for more will be revealed in the coming weeks/months.
